Marc, the HOFers you mentioned would probably easily be in the $2000 range assuming they are excellent condition as in PSA 5 condition. |

Dave, so you are saying roughly 12k for all 8 cards? About 2k for Tinker, Crawford and Collins and 1k for each of the others? |

If you think they will grade PSA4, you can justify paying $350 each, or maybe even more, for the commons. If the McIntyre is the Brooklyn only variation, it's worth a little more. For the Hofers, maybe three times as much for those two. If you are confident they will grade PSA5, which is risky as PSA is very inconsistent on Turkey Reds, you could, of course, go higher. Are you planning on flipping them? |

I think it would be very risky to pay what Dave is suggesting, unless you are EXTREMELY confident they will grade PSA5. Even at that, PSA5 commons don't hit the $1000 mark that consistently. Also, Collins is a very easy card to find, which tends to deep his value down a bit. I wouldn't count on getting $2000 for him, even in PSA5. |

Mark, I can't guarantee what these cards look like. I just had an elderly lady call me on the telephone about them. They have been in her family and now her possession since they were first issued 96 years ago. She said they were in excellent shape. From talking to her, she is wanting big money for them but didn't know what they were worth. If I get them, I would be willing to flip most of them. |

Mark...I could be wrong..but the last Collins I think went in the Goodwin auction for $2183 w/o the juice. It was a 60. |

Just keep in mind that most people not actively involved in the hobby tend to overstate the condition of their cards. You might be disappointed when you see them. Then again, they could be great. |

It definately would be safer to give her a figure worth more that they would all grade at 4's...I just figured this was some dealer that had them that wouldn't have let them go for less. |
