Saw a auction currently posted on ebay for 25 1921-1922 E121 cards. The description was kind of vague with very poor pictures. Has anyone on the board ever had dealings with this individual? The listing doesn't quite look right and he does not accept paypal so seems risky. Opinions? |

Looks like this seller is fairly unknown to our members....which does say something. |

I checked out the auction, and I can't believe it's legit. He's got got graded cards in the lot, but the seemingly sharp-cornered Ruth and Hornsby cards are ungraded. That's a huge red flag to me ... |

further checked out this auction today. Found out that there are actually 27 cards including 2 Ruths. Cards were supposedly bought from an estate in Kansas city and were not graded because of the "expense". It was a younger man from New York that needed money was the reason for the auction. Seemed legit on the phone but too many red flags for comfort. His prior ebay tag was " 2buzzy" which also had very limited recent feedback. Didn't take paypal because of some prior issues on an auction where he got burned. Would be an awesome deal if all the cards are legit but a little scarry. |
