T215 Red Cross question

Does this set often get confused with the T206 as found in this auction that i was watching

This auction closed at a fairly low price considering you don't see these pop up very often so maybe the confused listing had something to do with the final price!

There was a spirited debate recently about Coupons really being T206. I don't know if Red Cross was brought up then but does T215 Red Cross use all the same photos as T206??

I dont think the t206 listing hurt the card at all, folks saw it for the most part. With the Red Crosses there is such a significance placed on the back, and this one unfortunately had some paperloss. Still nice looking though.

That price seems about right for a Red Cross with back damage, it might have gone for $250 max if it was listed with T215 in the title.

I'm guessing the reason he confused it with a T206 is because it has the brown lettering, as compared to the T215-2 with the blue lettering.

But, it looks a bit short to me.

Thanks for the responses... is there a premium placed on lettering color (Brown or Blue)?

I'm im correct I believe the brown can have a slight premium...10% or so? I'm sure someone more intuned with the set will know better than me. But, seems like that is what I remember.

I think the brown lettering (t215-1) is a little tougher to find. I think Dave is right with the price increase or even more 25%?

In my experience the type 1's are a little tougher. That being said I haven't personally seen the type 1's sell for a premium. Some might have but I haven't seen it. Also, on the original posted auction if it had been correctly identified in the title I think it would have gone for $50-$150 more....When I see T206 in the title I generally will skip over it as, to me, they are mostly boring.....except some rare backs....
