Does anyone know how much the Ruth home run ball #712 hit at Forbes Field brought at the Hunt auction in NY during All Star week? The gentleman that caught the ball lives relatively close to me, I was wondering how good he did! |

Yes, the ball was autographed by Ruth. When it was caught the individaul went to Ruth's hotel after the game and asked that he sign the ball. It was authenticated by Hunt! The same day he hit #713 (which whereabouts is still unknown) and #714 which was donated to Coppertown. That was his last three HR's. |

There is a rumor that #713 is somewhere in Platinumville. |
