It appears to be the general consensus of this borad that Lefty O'Doul is regarded as the third best MLB player (after Shoeless Joe & Pete Rose, of course) not currently in the BB HOF. Other than his numerous Zeenut PCL cards, what would be the earliest card issue for Lefty? |

He has a Exhibit card 1926-29 some people don't consider these cards. The next one would be an R315 in 1928. |

It shows him as a Giant. The Exhibit shows him with the Phillies, which means it was made after his trade. However, since he has a 1918, 1921, 1925, 1926 and 1927 Zeenut, the first MLB card is kind of an irrelevant debate. |

R315's are listed in the 2008 SCD as being from 1929-30, but if O'Doul is shown with NY NL it should be noted that the R315's also might have came out in 1928 (the 2003 SCD listed the R315's as 1928) |
