It was clearly someone outside the hobby. It sounds like a pretty amazing find. |

David- fair point...and I don't really come up with any anymore either. I think those days are dwindling. |

This is always neat news to hear! Imagine if he'd also had a Plank. Has there been a find to-date where both a Wagner and Plank were included? |

I'm sure this has been discussed, but they grade, then auction the cards? |

Anyone else notice the Wagner looks pretty narrow, similar to an American Beauty? It could certainly be the picture but regardless, the card will sell for much less than it would in an SGC or PSA holder. I'd still love to be the guy or at least related to the person who stumbled upon them. Certainly never happens to me or anyone I know. |

Barry - I think that the plural of Nattress is Nattressi or perhaps Nattresseux |

For modern cards I really like Beckett grading. No doubt they seem to offer the best service for the price (just to me). But I hate the idea they will "grade" this set then sell it at auction themselves. The conflict is just way to extreme to me. Their integrity in that entire process has to come under question as the higher the grade the better the sales commission they will enjoy. Why can't this company, which I know it has a brain behind it, simply grade the cards and then consign them to an auction house and relinquish this extra buck they feel they must make? |

Just grade them - that's it. Send them back to the owner and conflict of interest is eradicated. |

No way does the Wagner sell differently in either a PSA or SGC holder. This card has nice eye appeal and nice provenance. |
