Wow, that's some amazing stuff. It's amazing how many years it took some of these guys to complete relatively contemporary (1930s) sets. We have it easy with eBay, but I'm sure we're missing some of the fun as well. Just meeting another collector back in those days was a big deal. I love the story about the discovery the first Wagner and its $25 estimated value ...

I really appreciated all of the Carter references. I hope to include a brief Carter interview on my website in a day or so and reading all of these details provided a nice backdrop for that.
