This T206 Baker card sold on eBay for about book value (SMR says $315 for PSA 5). I thought Polar Bear backs usually carried a significant premium? Is this more indication of a softening market for T206? |

I was the buyer of this Baker card, and was pretty happy with the price. I've been buying mid-grade (5) t206 Hall of Famers for the past 6-8 months, and I've certainly seen prices come down. Based on VCP, many of the recent sales in mid-grade cards are the lowest listed over the past couple of years. I know less than most of the veterans on this site have forgotten, but in this area at least, it does seem like there's some softness. In any case, I'm happy, since I've been getting what I find to be nice cards for reasonable prices - in fact, I managed to win a couple more tonight... |
