I think there was a newspaper that issued sport stamps, but cant remember which one at the moment. |

Hi Will, this was issued around 1936. Your "stamp" was cut too close to the picture on the top, otherwise it would say Boston American, Pittsburgh Sun-Telegraph, or some other major big city newspaper. These are cataloged in the big SCD book, and Stengel is NOT listed, he is probably a recent discovery. Book value is $12-$20 in nm. Randy |

Willy, In 1936 there were several newspapers that issued these as part of the newspaper. If yours is thicker, it was probably pasted onto a thicker piece of paper and trimmed down. |
