Ed McCollumOver the past month or so, I've been auctioning off most of my t206 collection on eBay. No real problem until the last seven days, when I had a Heinie Wagner, bat on left shoulder card for sale. Clearly labeled as H Wagner, bat on left shoulder, with scans of the front and back, I had one bid retraction early on from someone who thought I was being deceptive, trying to pass off another card as a Honus Wagner card, and just now, the winner of the auction has e-mailed me to say he would like to retract his bid, he thought this card was someone else (maybe Honus?)
Are there really that many people who could read a description, look at a picture, and still mistake a card of a player holding his bat on his shoulder for the one of the most famous cards in history that is a portrait? And do they really think they can pick up a "Wagner" for less than $30 on eBay?
As Arsenio used to say "Things that make you go 'hummmmmm""
