I would try to finish one set at a time. The t206 set is so large you might not want to get side tracked. If you wanted another challenge, take on the N172 set. |

It's true that the T206 is huge, but it is also very costly to complete, while you are saving money which new set would you work on. |

Have put it together several times. Plenty of cards available in different grades. Small set loaded with hofers. |

If you are saving money for T206s, then maybe you shouldn't be spending that "saved" money on other sets. |

I was thinking the same thing. How do you save money for T206 while you're spending money on another set??? |

I can't see myself ever starting on a T206 set (I'm happy with my reprint set) but, if I did, I would have no idea what other set I might work on until I was actually in that position. |

I'd agree with Fish's second post. I got a couple hundered cards into T206 and got bored. I still pick one up from time to time but they are so plentiful that there is no urgency. E95 is a great set and relatively easy to build. Of course, if you complete it, you'll probably want to continue on to the somewhat more difficult E96. That's what happened to me. |

If I were "saving" for a t206 set...I'd pursue the 1989 topps on the side as it won't take much money to complete and is loaded with hof'ers! |

I probably wouldn't waste my T206 time and money on another set. That was my original point. |

Collecting T206's is a lifetime sport....just like Tennis....I've playing tennis for 40 years and I've been collecting T206's for almost 30 |

I made the T206 a ten year project, started back in August of 2003. Have 205 cards as we speak. One card a week is very functional for me. Since 2003, I have also began the following: |

Maybe it's because I handle so many T206 cards, but other than rare backs, autographs or printing freaks, there just isn't much there for me. With that said, I've never bought the "T206 is complete minus the Big 4 contention". You could safely state that such is a near set, but in no way is it complete or should be considered as such. I would advise beginning set collector's who are interested in T206 to go after a specific player, team or theme and branch out. There are way more cards than those 526 out there. |

i have collected T206 for 15 years, every which way...PSA 1 thru PSA 10...HOFers, commons, SLers, and have finally landed on my real passion- rare backs. |

Well I don't collect T206's, but I think I get the gist of the question. I collect Detroiters. For whatever reason there have been some dead times in that activity - either nothing came up that I needed, or I didn't want to spend the money on what did come up. |

I started doing a 14' CJ set but gave up after 20 or so cards because I realized the Jackson and Matty would probably be unatainable. I still collect individual ones. As for choice #2 I would do a T201 set. Nice HOF selections, relatively small (50 cards) and all are reasonably priced. |

I'm glad that you enjoy the '33 Goudey as much as I do. Besides, in this set are 4 Ruth cards that I can almost afford. LOL. |
