Selling on eBay ... should I not during the National?

Just wondering the thoughts of not trying to sell during the national ... are the people who know and appreciate cards all gone during the time, or do you look at the collecting universe and figure there are still enough out there buying that you should continue listings? Also, after the national ... is everyone tapped out, and should wait a while to start listing again? Anyone with experiences along these lines? Thanks.

I think it's a mixed bag. Personally, since I will be at the National I won't sell anything on ebay but there will plenty of folks to buy stuff on ebay any day of the week. Plus, if it's at least a 7 day listing the National attendees won't miss the whole auction. I do think the Ebay action will drop a little bit, overall, but not a lot....One other way it can be looked at is some folks might think they can get a bargain with many at the National so they bid when they might not have before....just my opinion and others will differ...

Summer in general is a little slower...not sure if even the summer months are affecting pre-war baseball eBay sales however. As far as the National, I pretty much echo Leon's sentiments. I already have a few auctions bookmarked that are ending during the time of the National. I will be attending the Natioanl and bidding on eBay.

The last two years I suffered from "National envy" as I did not attend. I actually made some larger purchases and was more aggressive on eBay during those times. One area in which I have noticed a slowdown (and understandably so) is the BST.
