This will sound like a really stupid post, but what are the actual dimensions 0f T207 cards. My understanding is that the cards are supposed to be 1 1/2 inches by 2 5/8 inches, but can there be some varience from these dimesions from factory cuts? I have 6 cards and 2 card sizes and suspect that there may have been some trimming of 3 of the cards. The odd thing is that the cards that I suspect may be trimmed are exactly the same size and were purchased from 3 separate people at different times. I would think that if there were trimming by different people, then the cards that were trimmed would be different sizes. Also 2 of the suspected cards have been in my posession for at least 15 years. How often were cards trimmed 15 years ago? One of the reasons I ask this question is that I was thinking of having the collection graded for display purposes. Even if the cards that I suspect were trimmed got an authentic grade, it wouldn't bother me. I was thinking of sending them into SCG as I like the appearance of their holders. My understanding of SCG is that they won't grade cards if there is any evidence of trimming. Is this true. I hate to waste the money sending the cards in if they won't be slabbed. Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. |

Ken, my experience is that SGC will encapsulate a trimmed card if you write "Authentic OK" or words to that effect on the invoice. Likewise for cards altered with color. At least that way your cards can all be encapsulated and share a uniform appearance. |

Bruce is correct, that is their policy now. |

Bruce and Tbob, thanks for the info. I really like the appearance of SCG holders and could really care less about what grade they get. I will be going to the national to look for more cards and will submit when I get back. Thanks and have a great day. |
