I finished my T207 set in 2005 and have been working on the never ending upgrade search since. I have finally scanned all the cards and put them on a new web site. T207 is definitely an acquired taste but I had fun putting this together.

I’m now also moving my other picture albums from my old sites to this one at imageevent. It’s easier to use and offers more options. Anyway, the URL appears above. I've also put together some numbers concerning backs and grades.

Bruce showed me this on Saturday and it is a beautiful set and a great site.

But when I add up your different backs I get 259 cards. Am I missing something?

Barry, there are 211 scans on the site.

200 for the basic set, 3 variations and 8 back types.

I am able to view the site as "owner" and the cards are numbered in that view.

As Leon points out (Hi, Leon) I don't have a Red Cross back. And I'm missing Livingston -small "c." For some reason I haven't been able to find one. Anybody have any thoughts on the relative rarity of the 3 Livingston types?

Bruce- From one "brownie set" owner to another, congratulations. Only those of us who have put this set card by card have any clue as to what a massive undertaking it is. I agree with you on the Livingston, the small c was much, much tougher than the large C or the A variations.

Is it my imagination or has anyone else noticed the increase in T207 listings on ebay? It seems that once there is a thread such as this that it stirs a renewed interest in an oft overlooked set.

I just love "brown" cards.

Congratulations! I realized I've never really looked closely at a complete T207, but I can definitely see the attraction. There's something to be said for that dark uniform background (no pun intended)-- it makes the player jump right out. And every once in a while with a full-body pose there's some grass. That Cicotte pose is a killer, my fave. That angle is a knockout -- looks like he's bearing down right on me (were I at the plate, of course, which I'm not.)

Bruce, until I clicked your link, I didn't realize that all your T207s are in slabs (mine are in sheets). Did you buy them that way or submit them? I just can't convince myself to spend over $2k to get my set slabbed and I personally like this particular set in the pages.
Once again, congratulations, that's a real accomplishment. I am curious how many Net54ers have a complete T207 set?

Great question, Bob. Most of my collection is not slabbed simply because I've owned most of the cards since before grading really took off. I do get things slabbed when I go to sell as I think we would all agree that graded cards bring more $ at auction and ungraded cards tend to make bidders nervous.

Having said that, my goal was to put together a graded T207 set. Someday my nephew, who is not a collector, may get these cards and having the set already graded will help to establish a value and insure an interest from auction houses should he decide to sell. Incidentally, T207, at 200+ cards, is the biggest pre-war set I've ever put together.

Most of the T207s I picked up ungraded, mostly on ebay. The PSA, SCD and GAI cards you see on the site were already graded when I bought them. I sent the raw cards to SGC over a long period of time, kidding myself into thinking that I wasn't paying a lot in grading fees.

In many ways I would prefer to display them in 15 pocket sheets. This would make them so much easier to store and to look over. With graded cards a web site is really the best way to show them off nowadays so that's what I've done.
