What was this.. m116 Jake Dugey (Farmer Ray pictured).. card on ebay?

It sold for $10. I had it on my watch list, but did not make it home in time to bid. The bottom border does not appear to have been erased, but it's hard to tell from the scan. Anyone seen m116's with that large font??

These crop up from time to time. It is a whole set (or most of one) that an early collector around 1916-1917 used a typewriter to type in "new" names that were more current than the 1909-11 names that M116 were actually printed with. The "Dugey" is actually Farmer Ray. Compare this undamaged Ray on ebay right now--

I once bought about 35 of these, and still have a couple. On all of them, someone (probably an early dealer of the 1960s or 1970s) pencilled in the correct names on the back.

I value these at about $5-10 apiece. They are interesting conversation pieces but definitely damaged.
