Quick question. How rare are the 46-47 Propagandas ? I know it falls out of the pre war realm...and I know that the word "rare" is a relative term...just a ball park (no pun intended) estimate. And how rare in comparison to other Cuban's from that same time period. I don't seem to come across a ton of them.? |

I think Andy B. will tell you they are fairly easy to find. He was my source when I was trying to identify my Mathewson ( now a SGC 30). I have since acquired four others. I kind of like them though they are very condition sensitive due to being paper thin. |

I agree they don't seem difficult, but yet I don't see alot of them, kind of an oxymoron. and so I guess I am wondering why SGC has only a couple foxx's graded. I don't recall the exact number, but hardly any at all. Maybe they just aren't worth grading. Any thoughts. I kind of like their odd appearance....so ugly they are almost cool. if you know what I mean. |

They along with both Caramelo Deportivo sets are the most common of the Cuban issues. Only about 4 years ago you used to see the complete set gluded in album offered on eBay quite frequently for all 3 sets. I wish I would have picked a few of these albums up, as they used to sell for a good price. |

you might not see many graded because they're so delicate. getting one through the mail is a feat in itself - would your grader of choice be gentle enough getting the sucker out of it's holder? |

Based on the previous info, I then should be thankful for the card I have. SGC rated it a 4. Let me add I also believe in the much used phrase "buy the card, not the holder". It is a nice 4. But aren't there many issues that are fragile? In my experience Tattoo Orb's are also fragile. What other obscure issues are fragile, and would cause folks to hesitate to place them in a strangers mits, thereby causing the pop. reports to show limited numbers? |
