I have recently purchased some really nice vintage cards (and modern) from a man that just recently inherited a HUGE collection from his grandfather. Well, there was an odd Ty Cobb card in there that I thought was just junk -mainly because I had never seen one and it looked like something that was cut out of an old magazine - so I passed on it. Very thin paper, but in good condition. When I got home, I typed in Cobb National Caramel on eBay and saw one PSA 1 in completed. I have found the sizes of these cards, but I really need to know the thickness or at least what type of paper. I have picked-up some nice cards from this man, and I really doubt this card to be a reproduction, I just thought it to be cut from a magazine or something...oh well. It is still there, and I could get it with no problem. Thanks, and email or post with any answers or help. Also, some of the vintage I picked-up from this gentleman are (all are for trade/sell - large scans of front and back are: |

This post you made is really a cross between finding out info and selling cards. Please be very careful about posting cards for sale on this main forum. That sort of stuff really goes in the Buy/Sell/Trade links. As for the National Caramel cards they are similar to E121 American Caramels but on a little bit thinner stock (I believe, as I don't have any with me at work). A nice vg Cobby is probably in the $1300-$1900 range. This is one of the sets that really is undervalued imo. Good luck....(and yes, if it's a National Caramel Cobb and you can get it for a good price you should) |

Thanks, and I made a few changes to my post. As for the thickness, what would you say? I think I am going to pick-up the Cobb...even though he is a MGR. on this card, I think it would be a nice addition to my PC. Thank you again. |

The E220s are far scarcer than the American Caramel cards of that era. Pick it up, it would easily be the best card of the bunch you listed. |
