Question on V61 Cobb

Hello, maybe I missed something in Lew Lipset's book and other books. The Cobb is always spelled with one B "Cob". The Cobb I have has some front paper loss, but I see another B on this one. Am I missing something?

I have never seen a two B version.
Can you enlarge the scan of the area?
The second B is not level with the first. Is it hand drawn?

That is really strange. Under magnification, the first B looks small, the second B looks proper size but is spaced too far apart. The paper loss is fishy, just in the right spot to make direct examination more difficult.

I saw that V61-1 Cobb on eBay a couple weeks back and thought the same thing. So I researched it myself.... I was just thinking that maybe the Neilsons V61-1 (type 1) cards may have corrected the obvious error. But the V61-2 (type 2) cards are also corrected with the same type of gap between the two B's.

So, the series 2 has 2 cards of Cobb, one with COB and one with COBB as shown on the site you listed? As far as the 1st b it is the same size as the other V61's I have of Bob Veach, Lu Blue and Bert Cole. The supposed 2nd B on my card does look similar to the one on the web site from fwk.

No, both Neilson's (V61-1, V61-2) have "COB B".

As far as I know, the only one that has the misspelled "COB" is the E120 and the W573.

I'm away from my cards at the moment. I remember the COB E120. All the Neilsons are corrected with two Bs?
