If you reproduce a original card issue on a notebook cover, isn't the resultant "card" once cutout, a reprint? |

I have seen some that have the colors off registered (slightly misaligned). I would think that would prove they are not copies of a card, but rather used the original separated color plates (whatever they are called) just like most cards of this era. These images are very clean especially the caption. |

I find this subject quite interesting, and hope my comments are not viewed as criticism as much as inquiry. I was unaware that the notebook covers used the actual printing plates that were employed to make the original cards. |

I would consider it the same as when Tango Eggs, American Caramel (E106), General Baking (D303), Mino, Kotton, etc. used some of the same images (plates) from earlier caramel cards issued 6-7 years earlier with American Caramel (E90-1), Dockman (E92), Mello-Mint (E105) etc. |
