i saw these, as i'm sure many of y'all did as well. i don't know anything about oj's...that being said...that one is quite small. weren't there some rarer cards with a larger border that may have been cut to look like that one? were they called mini's? just curious.

Pete,

The trimmed down card is just that, severly trimmed. The other 5 look normal. I don't think that there's a correct size specification for OJs. If you see enough of them you'll see the variance in size. The cards were put out in different years. A lot of the 1887 cards seemed a tad bit smaller than cards from other years (relatively speaking of course).

I agree that the card is just severely trimmed (would "cropped" be a more appropriate term in this case?). The "reduced format" cards that have the larger borders to which you referred reportedly show only certain Brooklyn players.
