I got a couple "cards" like the one below in the Fritsch catalogue -- they looked and sounded interesting and were not especially pricey.

They were made in the 1970s by the Chicago photographer George Brace, who collaborated with George Burke for many years, and inherited Burke's archive. I don't know where the "Mac" comes from. They are really cool photos, and collectible in a minor way, but not strictly vintage.

The Card Police could have fun with this issue. They look like colorized photos with the caption produced in the style of the DYMO mechanical label makers of the '70s. Perhaps then re-photographed to make an -unc "card". But the final product does look better than many accepted baseball cards.
