1906 v.o. hammon chicago cubs team postcard

Can't find this in the SCD book. Anyone know anything about these? It is a team picture of all of the cubs from the pennant winning 1906 season. Copyright in 1907. Any help would be appreciated

You have to go back to the 2004 SCD Catalog to find it. It is listed on page 170 in the 2004 for $600 NRMT. There are 2 different V.O.Hammon PCs, the Cubs, and the White Sox (ea.$600 NRMT). The postcards are in the 2007 SCD Chronological Index, but this years index is all screwed up, many items listed have page number that arent correct, and some items listed arent even in the catalog anymore (like the Cubs PC). Hope this is corrected when the 2007 SCD comes out. Ive seen quite a few of the V.O.hammon PCs on eBay over the years, it is failry common for the age, most (ave condition) sell in the $100-$200 range.

Hoping not to hijack the thread, but has anyone heard of the S&K (Suhling & Koehn) postcards? Similar to the VO Hammon, I believe, there are 2 team cards - one for the cubs and one for the white sox. I believe it was issued in 1906?

Richard, I have a Fred H Wagner 1906 White Sox postcard. It is over sized and has a political ad on the back. I posted a pic of it on the Show your postcards thread. Apparently there were quite a few printers of Chicago Team postcards in 1906.

Joe - I will post a pic of the S&K postcard in the postcard thread. Interesting thing is that in the bottom left corner of the front image, it says "COPYRIGHT 1906 BY FHED H. WAGNER CHICAGO." Perhaps Fred, or "FHED" was the photographer?

The large (5" by 6.75") Fred H. Wagner Postcards are listed on page 525 in the 2004 SCD Catalog. There are 2 different (Cubs and White Sox), and they book for $600 ea. NRMT. They are not listed in the 2005 or 2006 catalogs.

As far as the S&K (F.H.Wagner) Cubs Postcard, it is unlisted in any catalog I looked through, but the 1906 Suhling & Koehn White Sox Postcard is listed in the 2004 SCD. (page 390, $200 NRMT)

Thanks for the info on my postcard. My card is far from NRMT. I would guess more in the Poor range. Still a neat item. The back is a political ad. Very stoic looking gentleman, don't you think?
