Very common on eBay, Its been going on for at least 4-5 years now. Goes to show why a collector newly interested in vintage cards first purchase should always be a good catalog like the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards.

Youll see an auction like this next month ....and the next month .....and the next month.... and so on

Yup, and beware of the Conlin, and the like clipped "cards". And stay away from anything graded by BSVA. At any given time, you will find several.
