I was wondering if this person is on these boards. Every single Ty Cobb 1914 Cracker Jack is won by this bidder. I would like to own one of these cards someday and was wondering when he/she is planning to stop hoarding the cards. I REALLY REALLY want one one day. I know that Ebay is like war but c'mon. |

I have wondered about the same question over the past 6 months. He has taken several T206 Cobbs that I bid competitively on, however I also edged him out out on a half dozen or so Cobb auctions. |

No offense but I really am against these "Who is this person" posts. If the person does not post on the board about the cards they buy then maybe they don't want people to know who they are. Ebay is fair game so whoever it is winning them is winning them fair and square so your best bet it to bid higher if you really want it. You said yourself you know ebay is like war so all you can do is fight back and bid higher. |

I agree, if they have this money available to spend then have fun. They could have bid $10,000 on a card worth $3,000. They know 99.999% of people won't bid that high. The fun comes when someone else thinks the same and bids $9,000. I watched two bidders bid on a 1939 Playball Ted Williams card years ago. The card went for approximately $6,500. It was a PSA 5. Was this worth it? Maybe in the eyes of the winner. I have my limits. |
