I recently purchased a couple wire photos from the mid-40's. They look and feel period and have "International News Photos" stamps on the backs. The tags on these photos are part of the image, not attached separately like I have seen in other instances. Was it common to include these tags in the image as part of the development process? Although the baseball photo's are of local interest only and set me back a mere $8, I would appreciate an answer for future reference when purchasing other wire photos. |
