The N300 set is a beautiful 19th century issue that has a blank black back and black borders. Unfortunately the black borders must have chipped away relatively easy because many of the N300s either have black missing from the borders or in many cases the black border has been shaded in (color added). If you are an honest ebayer and you are selling an N300 with color added to the border the realized price seems to be a fraction of what it would be if the color was not added to the border. |

First, it avoids the issue of opinion disclaimers (you know, the "I think it was colored but I don't know" stuff). Second, it reassures buyers that even though the card is altered it is genuine. Third, it is a nice presentation for the card. |

There is some value for collectors to having a reputable grading company say an item is authentic even if it is altered. It would not add value to me if I was dealing with a seller I was familiar with, but if I didn't know the seller it would add to the comfort level. |

2 very small spots touched up on front, 2 touched corners, no creases and clean. |
