I loved the last fantasy thread. Many of you know I've been making updated 1955 Topps-style college player cards for about three years now. I recently took a break and whipped up a trio of "1910" Tuxedo tobacco cards. Tuxedo was a big user of ballplayers in its advertising and in-store displays, but never went into cards. I remedied that by lifting the images of the Tuxedo point-of-purchase signs from the REA auction and rearranging them into card format. Besides McGraw there is a Walter Johnson and a Matty. They'll be shown in an upcoming issue of SCD. |
