I apologize in advance if these seem like stupid questions but, can anyone tell me if there is a reason the Goudey Company removed the "Big League Chewing Gum" strip from the front of the high number cards? Also, why does it seem that the Napolean (Larry) Lajoie #106 should be part of the Sports Kings set rather than the regular '33 Goudy set. It appears to be the only card in the regular set that has the action silhoutte reminiscent of the Sport Kings cards. If I remeber correctly, originally there was no card #106 and the Lajoie was produced in 1934 to complete the '33 set. Thanks for your help!! |
