The Lemke book looks good. Thanks!!!

But his book looks like it contains cards to the present.

I was looking more for a greatly detailed guide of the vintage cards. Maybe nothing post-1950.

I am more interested in details about vintage stuff than I am about "book-values".

Such as, variations, obverse/reverse combo scarcity, etc.
Maybe something that would list estimated "known to exist" numbers.

Estimated population numbers by card would be interesting, I agree. Please advise me if you find a reference which supplys that information.

Let me go a step further than Leon--read anything Lew Lipset has written. He has a great writing style and has done more than anyone in the history of the hobby to educate and enlighten. If there were a hobby HOF he would be an inaugural class enshrinee.
