i came across some cards 20 or more years ago--i've been collecting cards since i was 6 and now being 39 --i have a huge collection.i'm really into vintage cards now and have been obtaining only graded cards...back to what i started saying before---these cards i obtained 20 or more years ago look to nice to be real---does anyone know if there was reprints of goudey and diamond star cards from the 1930's cards 20 or more years ago????any help would be kindly appreciated here---thanx

tons of reprints out there of those sets. Renata Galasso(sp) did a Goudey set. Forget who did the DS set along with fantasy set of high numbers that were never printed. Scans of the cards would be a big help.

that is very tough to distinguish from the real '33s - even has the multi-layers - but it is slightly thinner. A youngster on ebay, Garth Feldman, claimed to be selling cards from this reprint set, but my communications with him showed that he was selling modern forgeries rather than reprints.

An article on the '60s reprint set was published two years ago in the now defunct "Beckett's Sports Collectibles" magazine (or whatever it's title was at the time), but I have yet to actually see one of these reprints.

The majority of the reprints were printed in the 1970s and 1980s, and are 20 to 30 years old. Please post a scan, the board can tell immediately.
