Just noticing the pop report on PSA...is why I said there are more graded Woods than some others......how is Woods determined to be sooo rare? |

The reason that there are several M116 Wood's graded is simple. They are very desireable & very expensive. A much higher percentage of the Wood cards in existance have found their way to the to the grading companies than probably any other card in the set. It took me years to find my M116 Wood (which I sold a few weeks ago), and I know several other collectors who have been looking for years for the card. It is very tough to find. |

I have been looking for 5 years and counting for old Smokey Joe. SLs are a funny set- you rarely find in very good to excellent condition, they are either trashed (once in a while) or in great shape (usually) because of the way they were distributed. Because the slabheads want highly graded slabbed cards, we M116 collectors have to butt heads with them all the time. Nothing is more discouraging than to go against non-M116 collectors for that PSA 8 or 9 Sailor Stroud when one hasn't appeared for sale in any condition in forever. Oh well... |
