Can anybody tell me about this postcard set? It appears to be from about 1960 or 1961 ... |

Are you sure it's a postcard set? It looks like the 1963 Scheible Press Rochester Red Wings Set which are postcard sized. |

They are listed in the SCD with prices around $20-30 per card, but I don't know how difficult they are. |

That would be Andy Bowers (he posts here occasionally). His Stuart items come directly from his estate. How much was he asking for the Lincoln card? |

Yep, they are very scarce...I own three, and I believe Andy had 2-3 of them and he may have sold one to another Net54 board member...there are two more for sure, one is pictured in the SCD since 2006, and a Seattle collector also has one. I believe they were given out on Dick Stuart Night in Lincoln in 1956 in the midst of his 66 homer season. I found all three of mine locally. |

First regarding the Scheible Press cards I have found them to be pretty scarce. They are among the most beautiful in my collection. As Dan says $20 to $30 for the commons is probably pretty close except that the Easter, which took me a long time to find, commands much more. Closer to $100. |

Mark, I never got one of the Stuart cards from you or Andy so you may actually still have one more than you think. I own three of them and two came from the estate of the fella that won the contest to name the Lincoln club and one other came from a Lincoln seller on ebay. I knew that you had sold one to a Net54er...I just couldn't remember who it was, but now that you mention Glen V. that's who I was thinking of. |
