For that kind of opening bid, that bat should exhibit multiple ghost overprints!

It was a supreme thrill to take a (very cautious) swing with this bat. Still one of my favorite non-autograph hobby-related moments.

I guess they assume if you can pay 1/4 mill for a bat, you can afford another 15k for the shipping.

An auction house had it in an upcoming sale when I went into authenticate with JSA a few years ago. The feeling of gripping this most famous of bats is something I can not put into words. Normally, unsigned items do nothing for me, but Black Betsy....are you kidding me?!
