Does anyone else think this was alot of money for a post career bat. One sold on hunts for $60.

It's an extremely tough player model, it's a model 125, and has a great length. There are a lot of player model collectors out there and all it takes is a couple with a hole in the collection. I don't think the price is crazy.

I think the price was okay, could have sold for 600.00 at most and as low as 200.00 because of condition - just depends on the collector. The bat is not a store model but as stated above but a "125 model"

Yea but aint that his coaching bat, he stopped playing in 1934, model numbers came around in 1943. I just cant see paying $400 for a non-hof coaching bat.

O'Doul may not be in the Hall of Fame, but he probably should be...and most certainly would be had he spent more time in the Major Leagues instead of the PCL. His popularity among PCL and West Coast collectors is right up there with most hall of famers.

It's not a gamer, could be a coaching bat, but I'm not bringing that into the conversation. Even if it came off the shelf of Goobers hardware store, a model 125 of an extremely rare and popular player is a valuable bat. Is it this valuable? I think so.
