Since Jay is plugging the soon to be released Deadball Stars of the AL, I thought maybe everyone here might like to share some interesting facts about some of the players on this cardboard. I'll start with a couple of my own, We have all seen the photo of Ty Cobb sliding into 3rd and taking out the 3rd baseman, that 3rd baseman is Jimmy Austin found in the T205 set and a few others I am sure. Also Mike Powers was a cathcher for the Philadelphia Athletics who died from complications after chasing a foul ball in Shibe Park's inaugural game. Anyone else care to share? |
