Jeff SI just picked up the most recent edition (#10) of the Beckett Alphabetical Checklist, and I was wowed. I'm sure some of you know what a tremendous resource this book is, but the main reason I wanted to say something is that I remember, maybe 10 years ago, it was not nearly as useful. Back then, I remember constantly finding out about cards that weren't in the book, and being particularly frustrated by the lack of coverage of all but the most common pre-war sets. No longer.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the book, it lists every person who ever appeared on a baseball card in alphabetical order, along with every card they appeared on.
I noticed that Brett Domue got a thank you in the acknowledgements section -- that probably explains much of the improvement. And I'm sure Rich Klein deserves a whole lot of credit, as well.
