	I was asked to examine three of these proofs for a major auction house.    They were these images, except in cabinet form.  My opinion was that the photos should not be included in their auction, as I doubted their authenticity.  I came to my opinion for a variety of reasons, both general and technical (I examined the paper and the photographic process).  A well known and respected person at the auction house had originally examined the photos and had the same opinion, but, I was asked to offer a second opinion.  The photos were not included in their auction.  |
