Just wondering if this auction is the real deal. This card was listed in the Fall Mile High Card Auction (same SGC serial #) and three things make me suspicious: 1) buyer's past purchasing pattern has no vintage cards and 2) the fact that you have to get on this sellers pre-approved bidding list -sound familiar? 3) there is another high end card 1934 Goudey Gehrig GAI 8.5 (mislisted as a 1933) from a different seller with the same pre-approved bidders list requirement listed just above the Johnson/Street. Anyway, I might be paranoid so here are the links - I just don't want anyone to get burned. |

"Both" sellers refer to their cards as a "tremendous pasteboard," although otherwise, they seem quite different descriptions: the t202 seller uases flowery language, the '34 Goudey seller's language is simple and straightforward. |

The image used for this eBay auction and the image used for the Mile High auction are the EXACT same file - same name, same modification date and time. |

RE: Gehrig -- interesting to see keyword spamming used to troll for GAI buyers. |

on the Goudey seller. Although he has over 200 positives, all are as a buyer, none as a seller. Do you perhaps think he racked up a bunch of low end purchases in preparation for a big sale like this so that casual lookieloos would think he has a solid rep as a seller? |

It's only taken 6 or 7 years, but you can now break down a person's feedback and look at just their buying or selling feedback. Now if they do that so you can see just the negs and neutrals I would be happy and have been routinely making this suggestion to them for years. I doubt it will happen since it will make it too expose their valued PowerSellers for the frauds that many of them are. |

If you look closely, the seller of the Goudey Gehrig "took" the title from this auction. Who knows where he/she got the scan from. |

The mile High auction has ended, but if this guy is the buyer of the card, why is there NO reserve? The winner paid almost $9000 for the card. |
