A regular scammer from eBay and Yahoo was from Ohio. Fair chance this is the same person. Also there was a notable and well publicized forgery of a Honus Wagner card (not T206) that was sold offline in Ohio to the unsuspecting. If Jim Brown knew what was going on in his adopted state, I bet he'd do a Dirty Dozen on this guy. |

Skip this eBay safeharbor crap. Is anyone trying to tell me that, in the name of Ohio and the Cleveland Browns, Jim wouldn't clean this situation up in about 20 seconds flat? |

Oh, if only I were born without a soul... Any conjecture on whose vintage cut will surface next at Bellyfly69? Maybe a green ink Lou Gehrig? |

The guys name is Michael L Martin. He is from Stout, Ohio. He was divorced this May from Selma Jane Martin. They lived at 55 S Zeigler Lane. Not sure where he lives now but there is a Michael Martin listed on Highway 52 in Stout. His attorney in the divorce was Christine Scott from Portsmouth Ohio. He has been kicked off ebay many many times. Hope this helps. You all should be able to find his phone number at www.anywho.com |

I went to a show a while ago and got his autograph on an old football card. When he commented that the card was old and asked why I was having a valuable card signed, I explained that I try to get a card signed by the best player at each position. After thanking me for the compliment, we then had a nice conversation about his days in the NFL and why statistically I chose him as the best back (yds. per carry, natch). Very personable guy and still looks like he could power the ball up the gut for 5 yards. |

we all love the hobby. It makes it nice when we can all get together and make people like bellyfly69 disappear, at least for a while. He is no longer a registered user. |

I am writing ebay again, hopefully everyone here will do the same. Here's an example of one of the cards his great grandfather collected and passed down to this jackoff in a cigar box through his grandfather: |

Some are obvious reprints, some are more deceptive. With the 1887 Allen & Ginter you can actually see the half-tone dot pattern in the image (The A & G's don't have such dots). |

To clarify a point. Many genuine cards are obviously trimmed. However, a competent and honest seller will be able to identify this trimming and will describe a card as trimmed. An auction where the card is obviously trimmed (repeat: obviously, meaning it looks as if it was cut with meat knife) yet this fact is not included in the description, means that the seller is either incomptant, dishonest or both. Even if a bidder has never seen a T206 Ty Cobb before and doesn't own a Standard Catalog or doesn't know that Private Auctions are bad, I beleive that if a beginner used some common sense, he would identify this type of auction as one he should not bid in. Even if a bidder can't differenciate an original from a reprint, he should have enough sense to say, "This card has obviously been hacked off at the bottom. Why doesn't the seller mention this?" |

It's scarry people with a perfect 100 rating are now trying to scam. It's really pathetic, Ebay doesn't seem to care. |

When I said 'obvious trimming', this is what I meant by obvious (taken from his current auctions): |
