Default Run that by me one more time????

Posted By: TBob

The seller is selling a G/VG T206 Cobb (red). He lists "sgc" in the subject line because he is offering an SGC graded Griffey Fleer card. Then he says he had the exact same card as this one but the background was orange had focus problems and it was a PSA 8. This card, besides corner problems, creasing and wear has a huge stamp on the back. He mentions SGC, PSA, other cards, I'm lost on this one...

I understand why it was done, but the edition of a 1989 Fleer Griffey isn't a deal sweatener... In fact, auction tricks like this turn me off from bidding in any of seller's auctions. As the Soup Nazi said, "Next"

The guy is not selling a Ty Cobb 'Spalding' or 'Funk & Wagnal', he's selling a T206 Ty Cobb Portrait-- one of the most popular and desired trading cards in the world. Why he feels the need to do the cheap 'plus SGC' in title trick, I don't know.

It's not a deal sweetner, it's a ploy to use sgc in the title so that it will turn up in a search for SGC. This stictly prohibited by eBay listing rules as the only car mentioned in the title is not the one graded by SGC. A number of auctions have been yanked after I filed complaints about misleading subject titles.
