Posted By: jay behrens The corner wear is "too perfect" for all the wear that is there. And it's really rare that a card with much corner wear doesn't have some other problems. You just don't get that kind of wear on the corners without the gloss of the card being affected and/or picking up a few creases. Also, with the corners as rounded as they are, the corners should be layering quite noticably. |

Posted By: Eric Eichelkraut This is a tough call. My first thought would be no, simply because of the sellers reputation. In a close call like this, the best thing to do is ask the seller if they will guarantee authenticity, and offer a refund if the buyer believes it to be a reprint. |

Posted By: Tom Boblitt the card is 100% real. I also know the seller to be very reputable and I'd just confer with him on the card and just let him know of your concern and see if he'll offer a money-back guarantee. |

Posted By: MW I agree with Tom -- the card is real. The reason the corners have an unusual "rounded" appearance is because some collectors/dealers in the 1980s would lightly trim off some of the "fuzziness" from worn corners to give their cards a cleaner look. It wasn't done in a deceptive manner. The rest of the wear on the card -- scuffing, dirtiness, notching, light creasing -- is otherwise consistent with the corner wear. |

Posted By: fkw Card look authentic. I have owned a few Goudeys with nice round corners like this one, some have creases, some dont. It is the very thick stock that make the corners wear this way. Frank |
