I'm guessing this is a recent submission. I can confirm that SGC has been brutal with its misidentification of vintage cards recently. Even when I told SGC support exactly what the cards were and provided links to online resources and examples that they had previously graded with the correct labels, SGC mislabeled the cards twice before getting it right.

It's not a good sign when they're spoonfed the correct ID and still get it wrong (more than once).

It is a W573 card. If anyone has a Sam Rice card like this, I'll gladly overpay for it!

Based on its size/look, I believe this is a less common, thicker cardboard W573 version I have identified as W573 Type 3. But ideally for confirmation I would see it in person, and ideally it would not be encased in plastic (in this case misidentified plastic entombment).
