Posted By: Anonymous   This is a new idea. The "Mag e" error card? It looks like a cheap alteration -- but the scan is so poor, it is hard to tell. My initial look seems to say that someone just pasted something on top -- but again, the scan is just too poor. |

Posted By: runscott Yes, I sold this joker a big pile of crummy cards and explained in detail the problems with each - scans of each were also provided. If I had thought this guy would pull something like this, I would have burned the card. |

Posted By: runscott - most were really nice, but a few had very obvious alterations, this being one of them. The missing letter had been crudely scraped off and there was paper sticking up where the missing letter had been. |

Posted By: Jeff given that I am selling my 206 set, it would go for more if I were to start erasing critical parts of the magie, the doyle, the demmitt, and the o'hara. it IS a low-grade set |

Posted By: TBob Remember the guy who was selling a T206 rare Magie variation card on ebay. The "Magie" was obscured but he "guaranteed" that the guy who sold it to him told him that before it was erased it was the variation version. What a maroon as Bugs used to say... |

Posted By: jeff I seem to recall a similarly defaced Mag?e that came with a letter of authentication from some outfit in New Jersey (a friend told me they were disreputable anyway...i didn't know and don't remember who it was). The letter attested to the fact that it was once a Magie error. |

Posted By: jeff i just looked them up to be sure: either can be defined as just some form of excessive eagerness -- if we can get him to do a rewrite of that email (and correct some of the spelling/grammar errors while he's at it), he'll be 7 for 7. |
