1923 Zeenut PCL D Baker (MLB Tigers Indians Red Sox (ends Sunday 8PM CST)
1923 Zeenut PCL Del Baker PCL Oakland Oaks. WWI vet, this low grade card pictures Del in his full catchers gear which we all like to see. Del served as the Detroit Tigers back up catcher during the 1914 15 and 16 seasons. Mr Baker had a long career as a coach and manager in the major leagues with the Tigers Indians and Red Sox. Del led the Tigers to the AL pennant in 1940 (lost to the Reds in 7 games). 31 years later Del appears in the 1954 Topps set card #133 pictured but not included.
