Default Selling on Zelle: Pros and Cons

As I get older, I am thinking of selling some of my cards and autographs. How safe is Zelle?
Thanks

I love it 100000x better than Paypal or Venmo. The money goes directly into your account; no need to manually transfer it. Nor does a fee get taken out.

Zelle is great for the reasons Brendan mentioned.

But Zelle does not offer any kind of fraud protection, and my bank (PNC Bank) does not offer any fraud protection for Zelle transfers either. You should check with your bank.

As a seller it's great for the reasons mentioned and for the buyer there is no protection so just like paying PPFF. If your buyers are comfortable using it I'd 100% use it.

I started using Zelle about a year and a half ago. About 2/3 of my website business is now paid with Zelle. Also really useful at shows. If there's any drawback, it's that there are monthly limits on how much you can take in and send. I haven't had any problems with that and highly recommend Zelle.

Great service. About half my work invoices are paid via Zelle. I prefer it for card sales too.

I bank with a locally owned/independent bank and unless they have changed their policy recently do not use Zelle.

It seems that is the case with many independent banks shun Zelle. I am asked if I accept Zelle payments at shows but I can’t unless I change banks.

Same here, mine has actually never supported zelle. So I've not been able to try it out.

I think my bank limits the $ amount that can be used with Zelle. It is similar to friend and family for PayPal.

I love it. For those who are wary of bank account exposure, it seems safe enough. Nonetheless, I have a separate account used only for making bill payments, which I feed from other sources. I tie that account to Zelle so that if it is ever compromised, there is little in there other than what I need to pay for upcoming bills. The Zelle deposits I receive are transferred out once they arrive. Seems to work well, but I am open to other ideas.

With PP FF, Venmo and Zelle, I know you can send at least 10k in one day using those 3 methods in total. I haven't really read what the limits are but they are as previously stated.

Zelle is safe (and maybe the best) but once it goes out, it's gone. So, if you send it to a scammer it's probably not going to be returned. Just be super careful and all is good. There are some safeguards built into setting up contacts to send money to, but no doubt it can be hacked.
