When I was 20 months old, I would say "Ee-Yah!" to mean yes. (So I am told, at least.) I like to think that I did so with all the enthusiasm of Hughie Jennings.

Don't have any Ee-Yah poses but do have Jennings as my M116 type cards.

Snapshots from Raleigh N.C. and Old Point Comfort Virginia of Cornell baseball’s Southern Trip in April 1903. (with some other news print candid shots from the trip.) Phil Lewis is also top left.

Whoa Val, that's an impressive amount of 'Ee-Yah!' going on there. Always fun to see the run.

Mr. Jennings had three distinct printings of his m113 poster, that I am aware of, all use the same picture.
Here is the most frequently seen, which was the last, along with a comparison of the three. The dates may change when I eventually release my study of the issue, but I doubt by much. Doug Last edited by doug.goodman; 04-05-2025 at 12:13 AM. |
