I say that Harmon Killebrew was good despite his almost complete inability to take the extra base.

Yeah but it's simply impossible for me to be impressed by such leisurely strolls around the bases. Harmon was one of those who had to call time out to get to first after ball four in order to avoid being fined for delay of game.

I saw Harmon and the Twins a few times in old Yankee Stadium. 69 was first time. When he made contact it was a BOOM. And he hustled like any other pro. Can still picture one of his foul pops as it went stright up and cleared the stadium. Killer was the real deal..
