I have seen some incredible Koufax memorabilia on Net54. You guys have done an awesome job putting together collections!
In addition to the custom figurine I had created, I found some artists on eBay who do custom baseball cards. By email and amil, I submitted over time photos from SPORT and SI magazines, other photos, pictures of the Bell Potato Chips cards, Exhibits cards, etc. and with their input I requested custom Topps-style cards from various years. Here is a small sampling of the collection. I have 300 or more at this point so there are too many to post the entire collection. If you feel about Sandy the way I do you will appreciate these. |

Very cool collection, Richie! I always enjoy these types of tribute cards if they're done right. Looks like you picked out some great images -- nicely done.

Sometimes the tribune/art cards have better images than the originals.

LOL! Very true.
When you opened a pack of Topps (or Donruss, etc.) cards, you had what they chose to put as the player's picture. I had the luxury of choosing the picture that I wanted. There were pictures over the years from magazines that I liked very much and I now was able to have them on cards. Sports Illustrated and SPORT magazines had some really awesome full page color pictures of Koufax that I was able to have reproduced onto the cards. |

I used to make customs, using Photoshop. I would find photos of cuppa coffee guys who didn't have a proper card made. Then mailed to the player for an autograph.
