I saw the episode and really don't know what to make of it. Yes, it does have a lot of the characteristics of his bat. We can agree on that. However, I think a lot more research would have to be done on the bat before it is simply declared authentic.
When you're talking the difference of, let's say, $100K it has to been guaranteed 100% authentic.
