Default 1958 Topps Bazooka Felt Logos

I like to try and complete any insert/complementary sets that were available during that particular year. Example, I put the 1965 Topps embossed in the same binder with my 1965 set, the 1968 Topps game cards in the with 68 set, etc.

A rather unique set is the subject of this thread, the 1958 Bazooka Felt Logos set from Topps.

Just wondering if anyone collects the felt sets? They were issued as mail in premiums from 1956-58. The 58 versions are different from those issued in 56 and 57 and easily distinguished.

Pictured is my 58 set.

Not sure if this is from the same set or just a similar set, but picked it up a few years ago.

Nice felt logo, but is not from the logo set(s). These sets only had the logos of the 16 teams in baseball at that time.

Not surprising, and I figured as much.

Those are really nice! I have a small bazooka Orioles pennant… not sure what year it’s from maybe 1957? The cool thing about it is that it’s yellow with black letters. No Oriole Orange.

That's cool Scott. Question, how big is the pennant? The reason I ask is there was a small Indians pennant with the collection of felts. It is about 4 inches long.

Can you measure and take a picture please. Just curious. I'll do the same with the Indians pennant.

Don’t have it in front me but it’s about 12 inches? I am not good at posting pics. Sometimes it works other times it doesn’t

Jim---I also keep inserts, unopened packs and supplemental issues with my Topps base sets, but only have a couple of examples of the 58 Felt Logos. I was unaware there were versions in 1956 and 1957. Were there Topps pack insert offers for them like in 1958 ? Do you have some examples of 56 and 57 you could post ?

I know Heritage put out a set in 2007

Also lots of great variations in 1958

Your 58 Emblem set is incredible.

Hi Al, the felts are nice and the mail in card is super. That's the card you mailed in to receive your felt patch along with a wrapper.

I do not have any from 56 or 57 but wish I did. I got my information from the following link, Keyman Collectables, who also has accurate and reliable information.
